Experience art in the evening. Take a stroll downtown and join our participating merchants for an evening of original art, live music, carriage rides and refreshments.  Starts at 5 p.m. at various downtown merchant locations.

Scarecrow Project - Turnrow Books - An eclectic group of artists, students, supporters, and gardeners are creating scarecrow art for purchase. All proceeds to benefit the Downtown Farmer’s Market.

Community Mural Project - In recognition of Earth Day, Communities In Schools of Greenwood-Leflore will be hosting a hands-on public art mural. All ages are encouraged to contribute to the mural painting, so please stop by 208 West Washington Street.

Miki McCurdy - Hosted by The Sweet Pea

Born and raised in Greenwood, Miki loves to create.  She has always had a love of art and the outdoors. The Delta is her inspiration. Living in the Delta makes it hard to not be consumed with the legends of the bluesmen and the beauty of its landscapes. The return home to the Delta is what inspired her to begin taking landscape photography which has developed into a love and passion for art. Miki works full time as a nurse but she lives to create.

Pryor grew up in Glendora in the heart of the Mississippi Delta and has been involved in creative pursuits since early childhood.  The Alluvian Hotel has 2 of her paintings in their outstanding collection of delta art.

Jack was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta and has had an interest in photography since childhood.  He has always felt that the Delta’s history and beauty give it a mystique unlike any other. Jack enjoys capturing
images of its people, architecture, sunrises and sunsets, wildlife and landscapes. Through his photography 
he hopes to share his enjoyment and appreciation of the Delta’s unique qualities.

Elma Orr is a native of Brazil, with both Italian and Portuguese heritage. She studied art in Brazil with Mariangela Sposito, from Florence, Italy. Elma  moved to the USA ( Michigan)  in 2001, then to Mississippi in 2006 and since that she started painting full time. Elma had had several art shows in Mississippi. Her works can be found in private collections in Memphis TN, Nashville TN, Jackson MS, Oxford MS, Greenwood MS, Grenada MS, Tucson AZ, Denver CO, Long Beach FL, Charleston SC. She paints and teaches classes in her studio in downtown Grenada.
